In a heartwarming moment that took fans by surprise, Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods were spotted celebrating together at Madison Square Garden during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The New York Knicks defeated the Boston Celtics 121-113 on Monday, May 12 and while the team’s win was impressive, it was the reunion of two former best friends that stole the spotlight.
Captured on ESPN’s broadcast, Jenner and Woods, both 27, were seen jumping and cheering courtside, smiling and sharing a joyful embrace. Jenner attended the game alongside her boyfriend, actor and Knicks superfan Timothée Chalamet, while Woods was there to support her longtime partner, Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns.
The courtside celebration marked a poignant full-circle moment for the pair, whose once-unbreakable bond came to a halt in 2019 following a widely publicized scandal. At the time, Woods was involved in a kissing incident with Tristan Thompson, the then-boyfriend of Jenner’s sister Khloé Kardashian.
The incident led to a painful rift in the Kardashian-Jenner family, with Woods stepping back from their circle and, notably, her deep friendship with Kylie. Woods later addressed the aftermath in a 2020 interview on the Now With Natalie YouTube series.
“It’s easy to beat yourself up over things you could’ve done differently,” Woods said. “But you can’t hold on to what you could’ve or should’ve done. You just have to accept what actually happened and then you can let it go.”
Khloé Kardashian, who shares two children True, 7, and Tatum, 2 with Thompson, eventually forgave both parties. Speaking during the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion in 2021, she clarified her stance:
“I don’t have any grudge against Jordyn. I think people make mistakes, people live and they learn, and I forgive both parties. How could I forgive Tristan and not Jordyn? That sounds asinine in my opinion.”
Though Jenner and Woods remained distant for several years, their journey toward healing became public in late 2023, when Tristan Thompson personally apologized to Kylie in an episode of The Kardashians.
“You were affected the most by the situation,” Thompson told Jenner. “You lost Jordyn, who was a big part of your life. You were two peas in a pod.” Jenner accepted the apology and reflected on how the experience led to personal growth.
“I think I was so codependent with Jordyn that I could never imagine my life without her,” she admitted. “We would have probably still been living together. She needed to grow without me, and I needed to grow without her.”
She also reassured viewers that things were on good terms between her and Woods. “Jordyn and I are cool. We still talk and catch up. We are good.”
Monday’s shared celebration at the Knicks game felt like a genuine sign that the past is truly behind them. For fans who once admired their inseparable friendship, the sight of Kylie and Jordyn laughing and cheering together again served as a hopeful reminder: healing is possible, and friendships, like people, can evolve and endure.
Whether this is the start of a more visible reconnection or simply a moment of shared joy, one thing is clear: for at least one night, the bond that once made them two of Hollywood’s closest friends was on full display.
