Cardi B took to the stage in Los Angeles during a stop on her Little Miss Drama Tour to put swirling breakup rumours with NFL star Stefon Diggs to rest, affirming in no uncertain terms that she is no longer romantically involved with the wide receiver after months of public speculation. At age 33 the Grammy-winning rapper addressed her relationship status in front of an excited crowd, turning what might have been a personal matter into a headline-grabbing moment that also doubled as a fiery on-stage clapback to longtime rival BIA.

The speculation around Cardi B and Diggs’ relationship began to escalate in early February, shortly after Super Bowl LX when fans noticed the pair had unfollowed each other on social media and the rapper left the game midway through after appearing in Bad Bunny’s halftime show. That prompted immediate curiosity about the health of their relationship, with the Instagram unfollow interpreted by many observers as the first public sign of a possible split. Diggs’ team, the New England Patriots, lost to the Seattle Seahawks that weekend, and that loss only added to the heightened attention on their personal dynamics.

Cardi and Diggs went public with their romance in May 2025 with a widely publicised appearance at a New York Knicks game, and later confirmed their connection on Instagram with affectionate photos. In September of that year she revealed she was expecting her first child with the athlete, and in November 2025 she gave birth to a son. The couple’s relationship had been a focus of media attention not just for their public outings and baby news but also because Cardi B was navigating her second divorce from her estranged husband Offset, with whom she shares three children. Diggs, meanwhile, is a father to several children from previous relationships.

On February 15 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles Cardi B directly referenced her personal situation while introducing her track “Pretty & Petty,” a song aimed at BIA in their ongoing feud. In an electrifying moment captured by fans, she stated plainly that she is not “f---ing with [Diggs],” and emphasised that others should not use the situation to launch attacks on him. That pointed response stemmed from comments from BIA, who had mocked Diggs on social media earlier in the week with a taunt that played on football statistics and personal jabs. Cardi’s retort on stage made clear she was defending both her personal boundaries and her partner’s reputation even amid the breakup confirmation.

The drama has not been limited to Cardi’s own comments. Earlier in the month fellow rapper 50 Cent waded into the conversation, posting a mocking message about Diggs on Instagram after the Super Bowl loss, teasing the wide receiver over both the game result and the relationship rumours. That playful trolling only added fuel to a narrative that had captured the attention of fans and tabloids alike, turning the couple’s private life into a public spectacle.

Despite the breakup confirmation, Cardi B’s focus appears to be firmly on her career and her tour, which continues through major cities across North America. The Little Miss Drama Tour has been characterised by a mix of high-energy performances, emotional moments and candid interactions that reveal more of the artist’s personal journey than some fans expected. Her candid remarks about Diggs highlight how public life and relationships intersect in the age of social media, where personal shifts can quickly become global news.

In embracing transparency on her own terms on stage, Cardi B made clear that while chapters in her personal life may be closing, her commitment to her art and connection with her audience remains strong.
