Amber Heard just made a splash with a surprise Mother’s Day announcement. she’s now a mom of three.
The Aquaman actress, 39, revealed on May 11 via Instagram that she has welcomed twins, a daughter named Agnes and a son named Ocean, joining her 3-year-old daughter, Oonagh Paige Heard.
“Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget,” Heard wrote. “This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years. Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang. My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full.”
Heard’s announcement marks another deeply personal chapter in her journey through motherhood. She previously welcomed her first child, Oonagh, via surrogate in 2021, a decision she kept private for months.
“When I had my first baby girl Oonagh four years ago, my world changed forever,” she reflected in her post. “I thought I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy. Well, now I am bursting times three!!! Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life.”
The Rum Diary star, who has faced intense public scrutiny over the years, emphasized the empowerment behind her choices.
“I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully,” she continued. “To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you.”
Heard has long championed the right for women to pursue motherhood outside of traditional expectations. In a 2021 Instagram post announcing Oonagh’s birth, she wrote:
“I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.”
Since settling in Madrid, Spain, following her high-profile legal battles with ex-husband Johnny Depp which concluded in 2022, Heard has kept a relatively low public profile. In a 2022 interview with Today host Savannah Guthrie, she shared her excitement at stepping back from the spotlight.
“I get to be a mom,” she said at the time. “Full time, you know? Where I’m not having to juggle calls with lawyers.”
As for how she plans to eventually discuss her past legal trials with her children, Heard has said she’ll wait until they’re old enough to understand.
“It will mean something,” she told Guthrie. “I did the right thing. I did everything I could to stand up for myself and the truth.”
Now, with the arrival of twins Agnes and Ocean, Amber Heard is stepping into a new and joyful era, one defined not by courtrooms or cameras, but by family, healing, and love.
